At its core, Side Effects is a dangerous version of pill roulette. Each round, you’re given a set of pills to consume. Some provide healing or advantages. Others eat away at your resistance, distort your mind, or end the game instantly.
But survival isn’t just about swallowing and hoping for the best. The game introduces a clever layer of tactics:
- Resistance management - Every pill affects your resistance. If it drops to zero, you die.
- Experimental items - Between rounds, you can use powerful items like vaccines or mouth clamps to shift the odds in your favor.
- Rival survival - Your opponent is trying to outlast you, bluffing, adapting, and striking back at every turn.
- The tension rises with each dose. Pills stack, resistance weakens, and risk multiplies until someone breaks.
How to play
